Kenyatta University at Nairobi (Kenya) and the University of Udine signed a Memorandum of Understanding incentivating student mobility, research staff, skills and experience, on Friday 5th July. At the end of 2018, the idea of ​​establishing a targeted agreement came from Prof Esther Kagure Munyiri, following the seminar held by Mr Droli focusing on "The Albergo Diffuso and its research boundaries". This model of hospitality can become the central pillar of an intersectoral strategy for poverty alleviation in Africa, although the obstacles to its recognition in developing countries are not lacking. Happy to have contributed, Mr Droli thank everyone who took part in establishing that agreement. Now, partners are more confident in the possibility to do something useful together to create economy and peace in that tormented one, and STILL land-grabbed, continent ...

This is the title of a forthcoming study which is going to be discussed at the annual ATLAS Conference, at Kampala, Uganda between June 11th and 14th. Stay tuned!

This AD operates in the Canton of Jura, near the border with France. The same represents one of the first ADs passing the planning process and becoming a tourism product in Switzerland. Thus, it represents an interesting case study, despite it is not clear "how much" the project has been supported by the local community. Both the above mentioned AD's key-features represent valid motives to include this case-study in my forthcoming book.
